Eight COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday, the statewide total is now 2419.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by nine to 217. Twenty-one new cases reported Wednesday. The total is now 5563. Recovered cases are at 5305. There have been 41 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 86 to 7065. Total cases increase by 448 to 172,744. There are 163,260 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 13 to 271.
Sixty-six percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
