Eight COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The total is now 2228.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by 3 to 118. Twenty-six new cases reported, raising the total to 5113. Recovered cases are at 4957. There have been 38 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 233 to 5392. Total cases are up by 718 to 153,321. There are 145,701 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by 14 to 193.
Today’s numbers include cases reported over the weekend.
Sixty-seven percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
