Final defendant sentenced in Madison ATM smash-and-grab

A Crockett, Texas, man convicted of Bank Larceny, is sentenced to 21-months in federal prison for an incident in Madison.

Twenty-six-year-old Keivon Jones must also spend three years on supervised release and pay some $100,000 in restitution.

Jones, along with three co-defendants, were indicted for Bank Larceny and Transportation of Stolen Money.

They were convicted of stealing a pickup off the campus of South Dakota State University and using that truck and towing equipment to break into an ATM machine at a Madison bank. Jones and his co-defendants fled the area in the pickup, crossing state lines with the stolen cash.

The ATM was destroyed at a loss of more than $30,000. The total amount of cash stolen was $32,300.

Three co-defendants were previously sentenced in this case: 32-year-old Kytorrion Young was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison, 24-year-old Kendrick Kennedy was sentenced to six months in federal prison and 25-year-old Alton Himes was sentenced to 19 months in federal prison.
