Man drowns in Missouri River near Pierre Marina

A 69-year-old man from Pierre was found dead in the Missouri River Friday night in the area of the Pierre Marina.
The Pierre Police Department says officers were called to help search for a man who had been retrieving something from his boat, but did not return to his vehicle.
The man was found in the water, unresponsive.
CPR was performed at the scene and the man was transported to the Pierre Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Foul play is not suspected.
