Man killed in car-pedestrian accident near Harrisburg

One person died late Saturday night in a car-pedestrian crash near Harrisburg.

Names of the two people involved are not being released pending notification of family.

Preliminary crash information indicates that an SUV was headed north on South Dakota Highway 115 when it struck a 24-year-old man who was walking south in the northbound lane of travel. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The 39-year-old female driver was not injured.

The Highway Patrol says no charges are pending.
