Man killed in collision near Huron

One person died and another person was injured early Friday night in a two-vehicle accident south of Huron.

Names have not yet been released pending notification of family.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup failed to yield at a stop sign and collided in the intersection with a car.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to the Huron hospital. The 22-year-old man driving the car later died. The 65-year-old male driver of the pickup suffered serious non-life threatening injuries.
