Man out on parole arrested for rape and aggravated assault in Brookings

A man out on parole on an aggravated assault conviction has been arrested in Brookings for the same offense as well as a rape charge.

Thirty-four-year-old Brady Glazier of White, was sentenced to prison in 2020 and was released on parole in November.

He was arrested late Monday night after police were contacted about an assault on the 300 block of Medary Avenue South.

A woman had been beaten by Glazier, her ex-boyfriend. He had fled the residence as police knocked on the door. According to court records, the woman had been punched and strangled and showed multiple injuries. Glazier had allegedly also threatened to kill her.

The woman was treated by emergency personnel at the scene.

Glazier was arrested and has been charged with rape in the second degree and aggravated assault domestic.

Glazier was convicted of aggravated assault in 2020 after beating and choking a woman.
