Name released in Yankton Co. fatal head-on crash

A 45-year-old man died Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Yankton County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports that a van driven by 45-year-old Michael J. Myers of Sioux Falls was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of SD Highway 50 near Gayville. The van collided head-on with an SUV being driven by a Nebraska woman.
Myers received fatal injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The woman was wearing a seatbelt and received serious, life-threatening injuries and was flown by helicopter to a Sioux Falls hospital. A passenger in the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. She was also wearing a seatbelt.
