BROOKINGS COUNTY (9-8-26) — The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of intentional damage to a corn field.
The sheriff’s office says it was reported September 7 shortly before 8 p.m. at a field along 466th Avenue near 220th Street. Deputies say evidence indicates a vehicle intentionally drove into the ditch and through the corn field three separate times before departing northbound.
The sheriff’s department says it likely took place sometime between September 4 and September 7. Damage is estimated at $500.
