Active cases in Brookings County fall by one and are down to six. There are no new cases, the total remains 4235 and recovered cases are at 4192. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “minimal” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by five to 165. Total cases increase by 16 to 124,393. There are 122,201 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations hold at 28.
Fifty-six percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 676,978 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 361,803 people. A total of 27,419 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,798 people.
