Person killed in August 4th crash in Moody County identified as a Beresford man

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports it was a Beresford man who was killed Friday, August 4th in a two-vehicle crash near Dell Rapids.
According to the patrol, a pickup crossed the centerline on a rural road and struck a semi-truck and trailer. The semi went into the ditch and the pickup came to rest on the road. Both vehicles became engulfed in flames. The driver of the semi was able to get out.
The driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Justin Samlaska, was not able to exit the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the semi had minor injuries.
