Proposed Opt Out bill could have major impact on Brookings Schools

Update:  The measure was killed in the House Thursday on a 19-44 vote. Both District 7 Representatives joined the majority in voting against the bill.

 

The measure, which has cleared a House committee, would allow referral of school opt outs passed before 2002.  Brooking School Superintendent Klint Willert says it could have a “devastating” impact. Perry Miller reports…
