Shed lost to fire north of Brookings

A shed is lost to fire just north of Brookings.
The Brookings Fire Department was called to the scene near 470th Avenue and 207th Street shortly before 2:00 o’clock this (Friday) morning.
Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring says a shed behind a residence was on fire. Crews were able to extinguish the flames but the structure and its contents was a total loss. A power pole was also damaged.
The loss of the structure and its contents is valued at $11,500.The power company is reporting $2,500 in damage to a power pole and electrical box.
