Sioux Falls man indicted on federal charges for Production of Child Pornography

A federal grand jury has indicted a Sioux Falls man for two counts of Production of Child Pornography.

Twenty-nine-year-old Marc Jones was indicted in May and pleaded not guilty to the Indictment.

The Indictment alleges that in March of this year, Jones produced child pornography involving two minor females.

The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to 30 years in federal prison and/or a $250,000 fine.

A trial date has not yet been set.

The investigation is being conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Sioux Falls Police Department as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
