Six COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The statewide total is now 2697.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 76 to 797. There were 12 new cases reported Tuesday, raising the total to 7953. Recovered cases are at 7112. There have been 44 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 2281 to 20,824. Total cases increase by 545 to 231,379. There are 207,858 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 28 to 312.

Seventy percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-seven percent have completed a vaccine series and 31-percent have received a booster.
