Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday. The total is now 2026.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by two to five. There are two new cases, the total is 4234. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 4192 recovered cases. The County is in the “moderate” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases increase by 9 to 230. Total cases increase by 23 to 124,335. There are 122,079 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 3 to 35.
Fifty-six percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 668,375 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 358,478 people. A total of 26,874 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,662 people.
