Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The statewide total is now 2609.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by four to 1679. There were 106 new cases reported Tuesday, raising the total to 7637. Recovered cases are at 5917. There have been 41 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 92 to 36,155. Total cases increase by 2829 to 221,372. There are 182,608 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by 31 to 423.
Sixty-nine percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-seven percent have completed a vaccine series and 29-percent have received a booster.
