Three COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday in South Dakota as active cases continue to climb

Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday. The total is now 2077.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by six and are at 187. Thirty-two new cases reported Tuesday, bringing the total to 4582. Recovered cases are at 4358. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category

Statewide, active cases increase by 325 to 6507. Total cases are up by 1230 to 135,538. There are 126,954 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by three to 210.
Today’s count includes numbers from the long holiday weekend.

Sixty-two percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
