Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Friday. The total is now 2022.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 3 and are down to 4. There are no new cases, the total remains 4231. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 4190 recovered cases. The County is in the “moderate” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases go down by 15 to 266. Total cases increase by 20 to 124,261. There are 121,973 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by 3 to 37.

Fifty-five percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 658,304 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 353,878 people. A total of 26,496 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,491 people.
