Two Vehicle Injury Accident Under Investigation

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle accident.
It happened yesterday afternoon shortly after 4pm along 464th Avenue near 219th Street. The Sheriff’s Office says 46-year old Kenneth Vostad of Nunda, SD was driving north in a pickup and slowed to turn west when his vehicle collided with a motorcycle driven by 28-year old Garrett Hartman of Brookings, who had been traveleing south at the time.
Hartman was transported to Brookings Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office says the pickup sustained little to no damage, but the motorcycle received disabling damage. The Sherriff’s Office says charges are pending against Vostad for “Lane Driving Required.”
