Vaccination center planned for Wednesday in Brookings

The Brookings County Pandemic Planning and Coordination Committee will hold a free, walk-in COVID-19 community vaccination center on Wednesday, June 9. The event will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at Swiftel Center in Brookings.

Single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available to people age 18 and older. At the time of appointment, walk-in recipients must bring a valid ID.

Brookings Area Transit Authority will provide free transportation to those who need it. Call 692-2222.

The Brookings County PPCC encourages local individuals who want a COVID-19 vaccination after June 9 to reach out to the local clinics and pharmacies who have vaccination doses widely available.
