Watertown hospital targeted in computer hack

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown was the target of a recent computer hack.

Officials discovered the disruption early last month. According to the hospital, I-T staff investigated and quickly restored critical systems that allowed hospital operations to continue. They engaged a third-party cyber security firm to assist in a thorough investigation and remediation efforts.

During the disruption, Prairie Lakes was able to deliver patient care with minimal impact.

There’s no evidence that there was any unauthorized access to personal or health information.
